I woke up at 6am and I just wasn’t ready to get up, so I walk to the basement family room next to our bedroom and flopped down on the couch and passed out. Kim was jiggling my feet and I peered through my eyelids as she said, “It’s 10 0’clock and Scott has breakfast ready.” Haha, I guess it was time to get up.

Scott made egg, bacon and cheese sandwiches for breakfast and the meals just keep getting tastier. I had a couple cups of coffee while Kim, Scott and I chatted about children, marriage, work and life. We also discussed the agenda for the day. Scott took the day off from work to hang out with us and make sure that we get a few of our boxes checked in preparation of our return home.

The 3 of us loaded our boxed-up bicycles in the bed of Scott’s 4-door Toyota Tacoma pickup truck at noon and headed for a makeup store so Kim could pickup a couple items that she had boxed up with the other 8-lbs of stuff we left with Colton back in Montana to bring home later this month. After that we went to the UPS center to drop-off our bicycles to ship them back to Michael’s in Chaska and the Scott took us to one of his favorite pizza joints in downtown Richmond, Bottoms Up Pizza. We ordered the thick crust; half was the red sauce Bottoms Up Loaded and half the white sauce Hawaiian. We washed it down with pink lemonade. The meal was very tasty.

We got back to Scott’s house about 4pm and started packing the 4 suitcases Scott pickup for us and washed a load of laundry. About 6pm Kim made some yummy popcorn with white kernels and got Scott to watch a couple episodes of Ozarks. Ozarks is one our favorite Netflix binge watching shows.

Tomorrow morning Scott is dropping us off at the airport and we’re heading for home!

The picture is a view from and looking at the Blue Ridge Mountains.
